M is for Maui: Hawaii

Maui.

We have settled in to the Johns' wonderful home along the Iao Valley Road.
The rain has been torrential for almost a day and I have a sense of being on an island in this vast Pacific Ocean.
I feel rested and am enjoying the planning and the anticipation of exploring.

I am trying to get my head around pronunciation too, just like New Zealand, many long place names made up of endless vowels! Exotic bird names too like the I'iwi which we hope to find.
